Directions

We are only 8 minutes walk from Yudanaka Station, Nagano Dentetsu Line.

If you come to town with heavy pieces of luggage, please give us an advance notice. We will be happy to pick you up at the Yudanaka Station. You are also welcome to our information desk at the reception.

 

From Nagano:
It takes about 45 min by express train on the Nagano Dentetsu line from Nagano Sta. to Yudanaka Station.


From Yudanaka Station to the hotel:
After getting out the exit of the station, turn left and you will see a Lawson convenience store. Turn right up the hill, keep the Lawson store on your right side. After 300m you will see a Spar store[e-store]. Our hotel is on the left side of the street about 20m after the Spar store, next to the Haiku museum.

Sightseeing

Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park

This is the only place in the world where wild monkeys can be seen taking natural hot spring bath in winter. Every year, travellers from all over the world come to see the monkeys. Free shuttles are available from the hotel.

Zenkoji Temple

Zenkoji Temple is one of the most important and popular temples in Japan. Founded in the 7th century, it has a lot of worshipers from all over Japan every year.

Town Of Obuse
Hokusai, a famous Japanese ukiyo-e artist, once stayed in this town. His work is displayed in Hokusai-kan Museum and in Gansho-in. The town is also famous for chestnuts. Please try the delicious sweets made from chestnuts.

 

Tanaka Honke Museum
Tanaka Honke Museum is a museum renovated from a private house of a wealthy merchant family known as Tanaka Honke. The house was built during the Edo period. There are a large number of precious cultural heritages on display, showing the high-class lifestyle of Tanaka family.
